Platinum Titanium Anode Selection Guide!
Platinum Titanium Anode Selection Guide!

1、 Core performance parameters

1. Material characteristics

Corrosion resistance: Platinum coating can withstand strong acid/alkaline media, but should avoid environments containing fluoride ions or phosphate ions.

Conductivity: The thickness range of the platinum layer is 0.5-10 μ m, and its conductivity is better than that of pure titanium. It is recommended to control the current density within<4000A/m ².

Lifespan: Under normal operating conditions, the service life can reach 3-5 years, and is significantly affected by current density, electrolyte composition, and frequent disconnections.

2. Adaptation to working conditions

Temperature: Long term working temperature ≤ 80 ℃, short-term withstand temperature ≤ 120 ℃.

Medium matching: Priority is given to scenarios such as electrolysis of water for hydrogen production, precious metal electroplating, and hydrogen rich water preparation. Fluorine containing electroplating solutions are prohibited.

2、 Application scenarios and selection suggestions

1. Industrial electroplating field

Precious metal electroplating: Choose high catalytic performance platinum titanium anode, with uniform and dense coating, and surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.5 μ m.

Electrolysis of water for hydrogen production: It is recommended to customize a circular or mesh structure and prioritize using laser welding technology to avoid porosity defects.

2. Medical and civilian equipment

Rich hydrogen water machine: Small sheet electrodes are selected and must pass biocompatibility testing.

Disinfection water machine: The surface needs to be electrolytically polished to reduce the risk of microbial adhesion.

3、 Precautions for use and maintenance

1. Operating standards

Do not reverse polarity operation to avoid coating detachment; After power failure, the electrode should be removed in a timely manner to reduce corrosion caused by solution immersion.

Regularly check the integrity of the coating and return it to the factory for repair if scratches or peeling are found.

2. Storage conditions

Store in a dry environment with a relative humidity of less than 60%, avoiding contact with sulfur-containing and fluorine-containing substances.
